Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Service Description

BuddyBlink is a check-in safety application. It sends alert notifications to your designated emergency contacts if you miss a scheduled check-in. The service is a best-effort notification system — it is not a guaranteed emergency response service. Do not rely on BuddyBlink as your sole safety mechanism.

Important: BuddyBlink is not a substitute for emergency services (e.g., 911, 112). In a life-threatening emergency, always contact emergency services directly.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information during registration.
  • You must ensure you have the right to store and use your emergency contacts' information.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use this service.

4. Acceptable Use

You may not use BuddyBlink to:

  • Harass, harm, or deceive other people
  • Send unsolicited notifications to contacts who have not agreed to receive them
  • Violate any applicable laws

5. Subscription and Billing

Free Tier

Available at no cost. Includes 1 check-in schedule, 2 emergency contacts, daily check-in intervals, and Telegram & email notifications (10 emails per month).

Premium Tier

Billed monthly or annually via Google Play. Includes up to 10 schedules, 20 contacts, hourly check-in intervals, and Telegram & email notifications. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUDDYBLINK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FAILURE TO DELIVER NOTIFICATIONS DUE TO NETWORK OUTAGES, THIRD-PARTY SERVICE FAILURES, OR DEVICE ISSUES.

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.

7. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via Settings > Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Changes

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email.
